    Overview

    The Head – Operations, Accessories will lead the strategic and operations direction of the organization’s Accessories business. This role demands a rare blend of strategic thought process , luxury brand stewardship, operational excellence, and commercial acumen to scale the division while preserving the brand’s heritage, craftsmanship, and global luxury positioning.

    Responsible For

    Development:
    • Ensuring the proactive and qualitative collaboration and answer to design needs
    • Assessing the organization to follow the variation of approach for newness adapting the skills and capacity every season
    • Ensuring the accuracy of the data creation for all SKU in the dedicated PLM
    Production Planning & Coordination:
    • Collaborate closely with the design retail team to understand sales plans and translate them into feasible production plans.
    • Work with the Planning, Merchandising, and Functional Heads to finalize production quantities and schedules.
    • Guide Production Managers in implementing the production plan and focusing on quality, efficiency and productivity.
    • Coordinate closely with the Sourcing team to ensure timely availability and quality of raw materials.
    Sourcing & Vendor Management:
    • Manage end-to-end sourcing of raw materials from domestic and international markets.
    • Evaluate, onboard, and maintain a panel of strategic vendors for raw material sourcing and specialized production processes.
    • Oversee the Vendor Management process to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality benchmarks.
    • Lead the Outsourcing Vendor Management strategy for specialized work.
    • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate terms, and monitor performance KPIs to ensure reliability and quality.
    • Ensuring a global retro-planning which can anticipate & satisfy retails planned needs, reorders and pre-launches.
    Quality Control & Process Improvement:
    • Ensure strict adherence to defined quality standards across all stages of production.
    • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to identify defects or process gaps and implement corrective actions.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
    • Ensure safety compliance is maintained in all production and vendor processes.
    Cost Management:
    • Refine costing methodology to achieve target cost structures.
    • Collaborate with the Design and Functional teams to balance design aspirations with practical costing and sourcing capabilities. Propose modifications to drive the margin up
    • Monitor and control raw material wastage and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
    Health, Prevention and Safety:
    • Follow the evolution of the compliance and international standards
    • Ensure the implementation of all needed process
    People Management & Development:
    • Lead and mentor the production team, setting clear KPIs and providing ongoing skill development and training.
    • Work with Boutique Directors to deliver product training sessions, ensuring retail employees understand product features and quality aspects.
    • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing cross-functional team spanning sourcing, Quality and Production operations.
    • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
    • Develop succession planning and talent pipelines within the division.

    Specific Skills

    • Graduate / Postgraduate in Production, Industrial Engineering, Fashion Technology, Operations / SCM or related discipline.
    • 18+ years of experience end-to-end category management.
    • Proven experience in scaling an accessories business with complete ownership.
    • Strategic thinker with exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability.
    • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
    • Experience working closely with creative founders or design-led organizations is highly preferred.
    • C1 in English as a minimum and optional for Italian language
